  1. So many incredible conversion dude You need to do tutorials of how you do such clean installs Hats off to you sir astounding work
  2. Hi THR3360 good to know its not just me lol I am on a pc using chrome The issue is not sitewide as when i post a thread of my own or pictures with a write up its not changing. Maybe its some setting on my side as I have translation on when looking at this site. Happy Drifting
  3. I have a few things I found I wonder if they can be addressed A thousand and one connections. If it (the race) has been restarted and not from initial startup. The connection thing is When You are doing say a session of gymkhana and the run ends the app goes to the score or restart page When on that page the car is stopped but connected as I can see the brake lights flash when i press the screen, so why does it need to reconnect when I try to restart? I fully accept it only cos in the flow and want to get more done but it just seems unnecessary to "reconnect". Crashing kills me (you would think there is not much to argue there lol) Crashing is something happens often on my tiny track. Yes I need to get better ... haha but ..... Many times the crown wheel does not want to go back to it. So even when it comes back it just goes straight and that's when it refuses to come off the wall. I have cleaned my car and it still happens. I just wish there was a button (like reverse) that's a "yes I know I crashed" button to reset to straight (or even better, one way out (that I choose). So I just drive off and away from the wall (It takes soooo long to slow down revs) to go straight or turn away from said wall. Seriously, I stop the car and pick it up to find the crown off line towards the wall still (despite my previous frantic waving of the phone lol). I understand overrun BUT i've hit a wall, there should be no overrun left in my inertia and what of neutral? I know there is no way the car can tell its the wall so I feel it should be addressed in the app I would like to see my screen on a big screen. For a race party to have a big screen scores and run times would allow everyone to easily share the excitement. Not even sure if this is possible as you imagine you would need to connect to two things at once. Talking about two things at once, is it possible to connect to something else while racing? I am thinking it maybe possible to inform the app of where you are on the course. A point about points This looks like its very particular to my situation and small tracks. I have been doing all I can to get points for medals but ... I max at around 8k There is no way I can score anything like the 29K I see on the boards. I am NOT saying this is unfair! I'm wondering if there's any way to score short courses, I wonder if it's just a short distance before drifting again and maybe bump up my scores a bit. If it was based on driven distance (if possible) it would be fair, unlike a short course selection option that could be abused. Thanks for reading this far and happy drifting Side note: for some reason my text has been changed just by submitting it. I wonder if there is some translator in the background funking up my prose its lost some lines and words have been changed and capitalised. even while I was editing the post after I first noticed it, even after fixing my post and resubmitting it the text has shifted and changed some. How very strange. I can post my written text as a saved file for the webmaster if needed.
  4. Hi Christian, Thanks for your kind words on my artwork I think when you are trackside it is easier to see the paths and they do help me aim a little better lol Tbh after a while you dont really "see" the whole lines and you just see the end points that lead you to the kerbs. The connection thing is when you are doing say a session of gymkhana and the run ends the app goes to the score or restart page When on that page the car is still connected as I can see the brake lights flash when I press the screen, so why does it need to reconnect when I try to restart? I fully accept its only cos im in the flow and want get more racing done but it just seems unnecessary to "reconnect". As for crash recovery (which happens a lot on my tiny track ha ha ) it is not always finding center after stopping. Many times the crown wheel will not return to forward and will just sit at its last angle. Also sometimes even after returning it sits just off straight and that's when it refuses to come off the wall. I have cleaned my car and still see it happens. I just wish there was a button (like reverse) that is a "yes I know I crashed" button to reset to straight (or even better slightly one way out (that I choose) so I can just drive off and away from the wall) Its so disappointing when the car sucks itself to the wall and it takes sooooooooooo long to slow down the motor to stop, for you to only be able to continue around the wall as the crown is offline and refuses (in my experience) to go straight or turn away from said wall (seriously, I stop the car and pick it up to find the crown off line towards the wall still (despite my frantic waving of the phone lol). I understand over run BUT i've hit a wall, there should be no over run left in my inertia and what of neutral? I know there is no way the car can tell its hit the wall so I feel it should be addressed in the app. Again, pls anyone reading my woes dont think I am cursing the product, I know my issues are only shown up so much because of the restrictive tracks I have and should no way diminish how awesome this creation is (yes it's that special). I have a plan for a much bigger track as I need some speed Anyway, back to drifting Wishing any readers clean lines a pure curves
  5. Much like my last track this one is set also out on two sheets of white card stock. I went for this plan to try to improve my skills, I figure the harder it is the faster I will learn, but the last track was not exactly easy ha ha. The lines initially look like utter madness but they really do help a lot for aiming at the corner targets. I used thin vinyl tapes for them but word of caution, dont lay them down with any tension on them tape as it will for sure lift round the bends. There are 3 (maybe 4 lol) paths shown by the lines and the outside oval is great for getting some fast drift on. When you hit the red/black middle line through the drift or have the car fully within that and the inner yellow it is extremely satisfying The paths are yellow/black (hairpins) Black/red (figure 8 ) Yellow/yellow for oval Blue for same side drifts German lines for perfect drift through ovals. The layout is a bit small and I hope to someday make some more room for a bigger track, I would love one of the amazing pre printed ones I see. Gymkana is good on the track if a little hard. Speed drifts are not so easy as you dont have much runup space. More than anything I just love drifting around like a hooligan lol I have some 3d printed turnarounds coming for the "corners" just to make it that bit harder (and to stop me cheating lol) I hope they work well. see last picture. I will be colouring them into red/white blocks. If they do as well as I expect I will add the STL file to the downloads section. Time for a quick moan : I dont like the lack of reset to straight function as I do end up hitting the walls and its maddening when the car just wants to drive into the wall even after slowing and stopping. Not to make this a list of woes, im also not a fan of constantly having to reconnect to the car every time. I wonder if I am alone in this. I do have an idea for a game with this style of course and will keep you guys updated when I can say more. For now I am looking for an arduino pro to help me, the project will be open sourced for you all to build and enjoy. Until next time happy Drifting
  6. Now with Crash barriers A very hard tight track but great fun when you get it right We race this in 3 laps, one of each corner

    Short Sharp Sparks

I used two large sheets of white card and drew out a few curves inspired by one of the awesome preprinted tracks. I found having roadways and lines really helped over a blank sheet (or floor) I could not resist fancying my course up and used electrical conduit (mini and only the top portion) on its edge, with cut up and drilled hole short lengths of the back of the conduit for supports that I pinned into my wooden under base. I used electrical tape for the lines (dont pull as you lay the tape, just hold a tiny bit of tension or it will ift later on) I found various widths of tapes on ebay in the various colours. The lines really help and we race this one with 3 laps, one of each lane path. Note : I am not sure what URL is accepted for my pictures as it wont let me use the google upload pls see them here https://photos.app.goo.gl/BncFHPn1TPGnhRCf6 If anyone knows how or where I need to upload my pic so they show here, pls let me know Thanks
